Águila Roja Series 1 (2009) -- Episodes 1-3 [with Subtitles!]

Here are the first three episodes from season 1 (2009). Further episodes will be added in subsequent blog posts.

Technical Note: After you download all of the archive files, use the latest version of archive software such as WinRAR or 7-Zip to extract the video files. Then use a media player such as VLC Media Player to play the video file along with the subtitles. The extracted video files and the subtitle files for each episode should be in the same folder in order for the subtitles to display. Some media players require that the filenames of the video files and subtitle files should match exactly, except for their file extensions.

Notice: Downloading files can be a slow process at times. When the file host is very busy, particularly on weekends, files will sometimes be slow or unavailable for hours or even days. Patience is sometimes needed to aquire all of the files. If you discover that a file is missing or deleted, please report that problem as a comment. Comments about slow or temporarily unavailable files will be disregarded, as these situations merely require some patience on your part. Likewise, requests for mirror links at other hosts will be disregarded, because the files linked from here can be downloaded for free by anyone with Internet access.

Capítulo 1 de Águila Roja
Águila Roja (The Red Eagle)

Gonzalo, un simple maestro de escuela, celebra la navidad junto a su mujer Cristina y su hijo Alonso. Mientras, un grupo de encapuchados asiste a una reunión secreta. Uno de sus miembros, el capitán Rodrigo, es acusado de traición pero consigue escapar. Perseguido por los hombres del comisario, se cruza con Cristina. Ésta es arrestada y torturada. Gonzalo encuentra a su mujer en la calle, que muere en sus brazos. Jura venganza y se convierte en Águila Roja para encontrar a los asesinos de su mujer y ayudar al pueblo.

Gonzalo, a simple schoolteacher, celebrates Christmas with his wife Cristina and their son Alonso. Meanwhile, a mysterious group of masked men hold a secret meeting. One member, Captain Rodrigo, is accused of treason but managed to escape. He is pursued by the henchmen of the commissioner, and he encounters Cristina on the street. Because of this chance meeting, she is arrested and tortured. Gonzalo later finds his wife in the street, and she dies in his arms. He vows revenge and becomes The Red Eagle to find the murderers of his wife and to help other people in need.

El Conde de Queiroz (The Count of Queiroz)

Alonso no entiende por qué no puede ver a su tía Margarita y culpa a Gonzalo de la muerte de su madre. Sus actos rebeldes le llevan a meterse en líos, alistándose en el ejército. Margarita, rechazada por Gonzalo, está viviendo en la calle.

Alonso cannot understand why he is not permitted to see his Aunt Margaret, and he blames his father Gonzalo for the death of his mother. Alonso's rebellious acts lead him into trouble, and he tries to enlist in the army as a drummer boy. Margarita, rejected by Gonzalo, ends up living on the street.

La fiesta de la Marquesa (The Marquesa's Party)

Alonso descubre que su tía vive como indigente y la sigue. Cae gravemente enfermo y Margarita le lleva a casa. En la Posada, Inés da un remedio contra la infertilidad a Cipri sin que se entere. La mujer que se lo proporcionó, Jimena, es acusada de brujería.

Alonso discovers that his aunt is living as a homeless person and follows her. When he falls seriously ill, Margarita brings him home. In the Inn, Inés gives a remedy for infertility to Cipri without his knowledge. The woman who provided it, Jimena, is accused of witchcraft.
