A series of child murders shakes the neighborhood. Juan is arrested as a suspect while trying to save the life of a victim, brought to him by The Red Eagle. In Gonzalo's house, tensions rise and Margarita decides to live with Catalina.

The child murderer is still at large, and the city lives in fear. The Commissioner and The Red Eagle both search for the culprit. Meanwhile, the plot against the King continues. The secret Lodge, in conjunction with the Marquesa, pays homage to the man they hope to make the new king, Felipe de Valois.

The secret lodge's candidate to be the new king has come to town. Sátur and The Red Eagle will have to find a way into the most secret dungeon of the kingdom to find him. The lodge has charged the Marquesa with treason, and she must prove her innocence by getting the key to the dungeon.

Tras el descubrimiento de la guarida de la Logia, sus miembros deciden quemarla a fin de no dejar huellas. Águila roja y Sátur escapan de allí con una pista, el dibujo de unos símbolos. Estos, les conducen hasta una lista de posibles víctimas de la organización.

After the Lodge's hideout is discovered, its members burned it down so as not to leave evidence behind. The Red Eagle and Sátur escaped from there with a drawing of some strange symbols. These lead them to the organizations hit list.

Since the Commissioner is unable to dispose of The Red Eagle, the Marquesa decides to hire a mysterious Asian warrior to kill him. The warrior sows terror throughout the city to draw in the hero.

The neighborhood is preparing to welcome the King for the Festival of San Felipe, and the Lodge finally has a chance to prepare an attack. Meanwhile, the Commissioner offers a reward to anyone who can identify the Red Eagle.

The Red Eagle and Sátur follow Captain Rodrigo's trail until they encounter a mysterious door. The Lodge wants to eliminate The Red Eagle, and the Commissioner decides to imprison innocent people in order to draw the hero into a trap.

Águila Roja y Sátur siguen la pista del Señor de Alarcón. Ayudados por Agustín, descubren la entrada al escondite de la Logia. Gonzalo sabe que Alonso, fascinado por el héroe, se ha empeñado en ser su escudero y le sigue en sus misiones.

The Red Eagle and Sátur continue to track Lord Alarcón. Aided by Agustín, they discover the entrance to the Lodge's hideout. Gonzalo realizes that his son Alonso, fascinated by the hero, is determined to become The Red Eagle's squire and to follow him on his missions.

Here are the first three episodes from season 1 (2009). Further episodes will be added in subsequent blog posts.

Technical Note: After you download all of the archive files, use the latest version of archive software such as WinRAR or 7-Zip to extract the video files. Then use a media player such as VLC Media Player to play the video file along with the subtitles. The extracted video files and the subtitle files for each episode should be in the same folder in order for the subtitles to display. Some media players require that the filenames of the video files and subtitle files should match exactly, except for their file extensions.

Capítulo 1 de Águila Roja
Águila Roja (The Red Eagle)

Gonzalo, un simple maestro de escuela, celebra la navidad junto a su mujer Cristina y su hijo Alonso. Mientras, un grupo de encapuchados asiste a una reunión secreta. Uno de sus miembros, el capitán Rodrigo, es acusado de traición pero consigue escapar. Perseguido por los hombres del comisario, se cruza con Cristina. Ésta es arrestada y torturada. Gonzalo encuentra a su mujer en la calle, que muere en sus brazos. Jura venganza y se convierte en Águila Roja para encontrar a los asesinos de su mujer y ayudar al pueblo.

Gonzalo, a simple schoolteacher, celebrates Christmas with his wife Cristina and their son Alonso. Meanwhile, a mysterious group of masked men hold a secret meeting. One member, Captain Rodrigo, is accused of treason but managed to escape. He is pursued by the henchmen of the commissioner, and he encounters Cristina on the street. Because of this chance meeting, she is arrested and tortured. Gonzalo later finds his wife in the street, and she dies in his arms. He vows revenge and becomes The Red Eagle to find the murderers of his wife and to help other people in need.

Alonso no entiende por qué no puede ver a su tía Margarita y culpa a Gonzalo de la muerte de su madre. Sus actos rebeldes le llevan a meterse en líos, alistándose en el ejército. Margarita, rechazada por Gonzalo, está viviendo en la calle.

Alonso cannot understand why he is not permitted to see his Aunt Margaret, and he blames his father Gonzalo for the death of his mother. Alonso's rebellious acts lead him into trouble, and he tries to enlist in the army as a drummer boy. Margarita, rejected by Gonzalo, ends up living on the street.

Alonso descubre que su tía vive como indigente y la sigue. Cae gravemente enfermo y Margarita le lleva a casa. En la Posada, Inés da un remedio contra la infertilidad a Cipri sin que se entere. La mujer que se lo proporcionó, Jimena, es acusada de brujería.

Alonso discovers that his aunt is living as a homeless person and follows her. When he falls seriously ill, Margarita brings him home. In the Inn, Inés gives a remedy for infertility to Cipri without his knowledge. The woman who provided it, Jimena, is accused of witchcraft.
