Capítulo 20 de Águila Roja [Series 2; episode 7]
El bosque maldito
(The Accursed Woods)

Para llegar al manicomio y localizar al orfebre que fabricó el medallón, hay que atravesar un bosque que el pueblo califica de maldito. Satúr debe superar sus miedos para acompañar a su amo. Águila Roja y él se encontrarán con un estremecedor lugar al otro lado del siniestro paraje.

Mientras, Margarita sigue con los preparativos de su boda con Juan. Catalina le da una idea: ponerse el vestido que usó su hermana Cristina al casarse con Gonzalo. Cuando éste la ve vestida de novia, no puede evitar que afloren antiguos sentimientos que creía haber reprimido.

El Comisario salva a la Marquesa y a Irene de lo que parece ser algo más que un simple robo. El Cardenal, indignado con lo sucedido, encarga al Comisario que averigüe quién puede estar interesado en hacer daño a su sobrina.

To travel to the insane asylum and find the goldsmith who made the medallion, one must cross a forest that people believe to be cursed. Satúr must overcome his fears to accompany his master. The Red Eagle and he will face a frightening trip across the sinister site.

Meanwhile, Margarita continues with preparations for her wedding to Juan. Catalina gives her an idea: to wear the dress her sister Cristina wore when she married Gonzalo. When he sees her in the wedding dress, this brings out old feelings that he thought were repressed.

The Commissioner saves the Marquesa and Irene from what appears to be more than just a simple robbery. The Cardinal, outraged by what happened, orders the Commissioner to find out who may be interested in harming his niece.

Capítulo 21 de Águila Roja [Series 2; episode 8]
El medallón, pieza codiciada por el Cardenal
(The Medallion, the Item Coveted by the Cardinal)

La muerte de un clérigo a manos de un morisco pone en alerta al Comisario. Mientras el pueblo, llevado por sus prejuicios, exige que todo el peso de caiga sobre los infieles, Águila Roja investiga qué hay detrás de esta agresión. El héroe se topa con la extraña actitud de Satúr, que se niega a ayudarlo.

En la Corte, el Rey anuncia a la Marquesa que debe contraer matrimonio con su valido, un apuesto caballero de excelentes maneras. Lucrecia acepta la propuesta con resignación, pero pronto descubrirá que su futuro marido no es el hombre que aparenta ser.

Como miembro de la nobleza, Juan solicita permiso al Rey para casarse con Margarita, pero el monarca quiere conocer antes a la prometida. Ella mostrará ante el Rey su natural donaire y éste les dará su autorización. Sin embargo, también les da una mala noticia.

El orfebre ha conseguido el medallón, pieza clave para que Gonzalo descubra sus verdaderos orígenes. Por motivos desconocidos, la joya también es muy codiciada por el Cardenal. El orfebre contacta con el prelado mediante un siniestro mensaje en que le ofrece el medallón a cambio de oro. El Cardenal no está dispuesto a pagar.

The death of a cleric at the hands of a Moor alerts the Commissioner. While the people, influenced by their prejudices, demand a severe punishment to fall on the unbelievers, The Red Eagle investigates what is behind this attack. The hero encounters a strange attitude from Satúr, who refuses to help.

In court, the King announced that the Marquesa must marry his favorite, a handsome gentleman with excellent manners. Lucrecia accepts the proposal with resignation, but soon discovers that her future husband is not the man whom he appears to be.

As a member of the nobility, Juan asks the King for permission to marry Margarita, but the monarch wants to meet the bride first. She is presented to the King with her natural charm, and he gives them permission to marry. However, the King also gives them bad news.

The goldsmith has retrieved the medallion, the key that could let Gonzalo discover his true origin. For unknown reasons, the medallion is also highly coveted by the Cardinal. The goldsmith contacts the prelate with an ominous message that offers to random the gold medallion. The Cardinal is not willing to pay.

Capítulo 22 de Águila Roja [Series 2; episode 9]
El accidente de Nuño
(Nuño's Accident)

Es el cumpleaños de Nuño y el Comisario le regala un magnífico caballo. La Marquesa considera peligroso que su hijo se entrene en la monta siendo tan joven, pero cede ante la insistencia de éste. El niño se cae del caballo y, como consecuencia, no puede mover las piernas. Lucrecia se desespera mientras el Comisario se muestra abatido por la situación.

Indignado por las grandes sumas de dinero que el Cardenal consigue a través de impuestos abusivos, Águila Roja decide sustraer la última recaudación para devolvérsela al pueblo. Sin embargo, unos bandidos se le adelantan cuando se disponía a asaltar el carruaje del prelado. El héroe hace frente a los ladrones, salva la vida del Cardenal y se lleva el botín.

Satúr, que afirma haberse dedicado hace tiempo a la interpretación, intenta conseguir un papel en una obra de teatro con el objetivo de ganarse la admiración de su hijo. Durante la representación, el Comisario es secuestrado por unos bandoleros y Águila Roja tendrá que tomar una difícil decisión: arriesgarse para salvar a su hermano o dejar que muera asesinado.

Juan recibe un mensaje del Rey en el que se le comunica oficialmente que en pocos días deberá incorporarse a filas. Margarita, animada por Catalina y temiendo que su prometido no regrese vivo de la guerra, decide pasar una noche con él antes de que se marche al frente. Satúr aprovecha la situación para instigar a Gonzalo para que actúe de una vez.

It is Nuño's birthday, and the Commissioner gives him a magnificent horse. The Marquesa considered it too dangerous for her young son to train with the new horse, but she relents when the boy insists. The boy falls off the horse and his legs become paralyzed. Lucrecia is in despair, and the Commissioner becomes overwhelmed by the situation.

Outraged by the large sums of money that the Cardinal obtains through abusive taxes, The Red Eagle decides to retrieve the last collection in order to return it to the people. However, some bandits attack just as he prepares to intercept the bishop's carriage. The hero faces down the thieves, saves the life of Cardinal, and takes the loot.

Satúr, who claims to have devoted some time to an acting career, is trying to get a role in a play in order to earn the admiration of his son. During the performance, the Commissioner is kidnapped by bandits, and The Red Eagle will have to make a difficult choice: risk saving his brother's life or let him die.

Juan receives a message from the King in which he is officially  drafted. Margarita, inspired by Catalina's fear that Juan won't return from the war alive, decides to spend a night with Juan before he leaves for the front. Satúr takes advantage of the situation to prompt Gonzalo to act at once.
